To Be Young

I feel like I look like such a kid in these photos. Because of the background, the clothes, and my height (boo), I'm basically a five year old wandering in a playground! haha

But to be honest, being young is probably one of the best things in the world. You get presents, summer, suspension of classes (which I really thought would happen earlier), etc. So I'd like to quote a quote which says, "If this is what it means to be young, then I don't want to grow old."

I also want to share a pick-up line!
English: Peter Pan said, "When you dream, you fly". But why is it that when I think of you, I fall?
Filipino: Sabi ni Peter Pan, "When you dream, you fly". Pero bakit kapag naiisip kita, I fall?

Good Things

Summer is a blessing (to students); so summer is a good thing. But all good things must come to an end. And just like that, I'm back to school for senior year. But before summer ended, my family decided to go on a vacation in Mimosa Montevista Villas.

I don't think my summer hangover is completely over just yet. And I also can't believe I used a lot of conjunctions in this post.

An Anchor of Hope

An anchor symbolizes a lot of things. But for me, it best represents hope. Hope that there will be an amazing journey ahead and hope that we will always have a safe place to return to. Miley Cyrus also has an anchor tattoo, that's why I love anchors! lol

Unwind

Since it was a long weekend, my family decided to go to Subic and Clark so that we can unwind from all the busy stuff going on in the city. First, we went to Camayan Beach Resort in Subic to fetch my mom from her team building.

Blueberry cheesecake is the one of the best pies ever invented! Yes, it's a pie, not a cake. :) #ThingsILearnInBakingClass
And I was super happy to get my first ever henna tatoo!! Can you see how excited I was for it??

I told myself that if I ever get a henna, it would be a Shadowhunter rune. But since Angie just got eliminated, dreamers from all over the world write "Dream Big" on their skin to still show support. :)

Dress: Forever 21, Shoes: Landmark, Ring: Girl Shoppe

Then, we stayed at Lohas Hotel in Clark, Pampanga because it's a place where the hotel room is just a walking distance from the pool so yeah. haha! It's a Korean hotel btw.

How did you spend your weekend?

RAIDED: Books To Read and Love

This is a new segment of our blog that Kim and I decided to make. In "RAIDED", we will be posting about anything that we want to talk about like literally. For today, we want to share with you some books that we have read and loved eversince :)

Miles To Go by Miley Cyrus

I remember when I saw this in a book store when I was still in elementary, I quickly asked my dad to buy it for me. Yup, I loove Miley. And I love this book because it somehow made me know more about her. I think all celebrity autobiographies are a must-read if you're a super fangirl like me! haha

Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver

I actually gave this book to Kim as a Christmas present because just seeing the cover made me think that it was really great. And I was right! This book tackles the different stuff that teenagers face, and most importantly, the way that we should live our lives because you just never know..

The Best of Chico and Delamar's The Morning Rush Top 10
The Best of Chico, Delamar, and Gino's The Morning Rush Top 10 Book 2

If you're feeling down, bored, or just want a good laugh, then these books are for you! They're a compilation of the entries for the radio segment "The Morning Rush Top 10", and they are just sooo funny! You won't regret reading them ;)

The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare

This trilogy has been the most heartbreaking, tragic, and best ones I have ever read. It's basically a love triangle among Tessa, Jem, and Will. (Jem and Will are best friends oh no!) Honestly, it was really masakit sa puso </3 Go read it!

The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare

This series of books is actually the continuation of The Infernal Devices. (TID-1800s, TMI-2000s) Kim and I really love these books because of all the plot twists and the way they were written was not boring at all! Love. Blood. Betrayal. Revenge. Need I say more?

The first book, City of Bones, will actually go on to the big screen and we're so excited!! The film stars Lily Collins, Jamie Campbell Bower, Robert Sheehan, and many more. It will be out in the US on August 23, 2013. Not sure when for the Philippines though :( You can check out the movie's trailer here.

Do What You Love

April 2, 2013, the date when "The Closet Raid" was founded. We decided to put up this blog because it was already a dream of ours to have one and since it's summer and we had nothing else to do, it felt like the right time to create it. Through this blog, we would like to express ourselves with the clothes we wear and at the same time, inspire some of you to do what you love and love what you do.
